Schedule an Appointment
As of April 6, 2020, all South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) customers who want to conduct transactions in person will need to schedule an appointment before they arrive. To view changes in operations click here.
You will be able to schedule appointments up to three weeks in advance. Appointments are available for 21 days in advance. It is the agency's goal to maximize your time so that you do not spend hours waiting at an SCDMV branch. You can book a vehicle, driver, REAL ID, or ADA appointments below. Additionally, book regular driver's license (Class D) and motorcycle skills tests using the link below.
If you do not have an appointment, you may be turned away.
CDL Skills Test Appointments
Any commercial driver's license (CDL) holder must have an appointment to complete a road test. No walk-in road tests will be conducted.
