This program will monitor an employee’s driving record for an employer and supplement and\or supplant an employer’s self reporting process for their employees as it relates to their driving record. The intent is to notify the employer that an event has occurred which resulted in a change to the employee’s driving record and does not replace the necessity of getting a driver’s motor vehicle record. The event which changed the driving record should be reviewed within the context of the driver’s entire motor vehicle record before disciplinary action is taken against the employee.
Any driving violations, suspensions, and license changes will be reported for a period of one calendar year from the date the report is executed. Accidents which cause physical damage over $1000 or results in bodily injury will also be reported. The report is generated once each week on Saturday.
This web based service is accessible via SCDMV’s Member Service at https://www.scdmvonline.com/DMVmember/logon.aspx and consists of an enrollment and reporting process. The employer will be responsible for entering their employee’s license number and last name using the Maintain Employee Watch List transaction. Employees can be entered individually or uploaded via an Excel or CSV file. Once the employees are entered into the watch list a report will be generated the following Saturday and their report will be available as an Employee Watch Report. This report can be viewed online or downloaded as either an Excel or CSV file.
The cost of using this service is based upon a sliding scale of the number of employees enrolled by the employer and will be billed annually. See pricing schedule in contract for details. An audit by SCDMV may occur at any time after initial enrollment. If the employer exceeds the sliding scale that they are being billed at during the audit they will be billed at the appropriate level found during the audit.
To enroll for this service the employer must complete the contract and personal information release agreement below that applies to their organization who will be responsible for maintaining userid’s and passwords for their access to SCDMV’s member service’s site.
