Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity
This plate is available to members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. To apply for the plate, you must present a current membership card, life membership plate, or a letter from the District Director on district letterhead. Proceeds from the plate will be distributed to the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. for scholarships. The fee for this plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees.
Amateur Radio
First time applications must be handled by mail. You must certify on the application that you hold an unrevoked and unexpired amateur radio license of a renewable nature as issued by the Federal Communications Commission. The fee for the plate is $2.00 plus the registration fee
Auburn University
The Auburn University plate is sponsored by the Auburn Alumni Association. Proceeds from the plate will be used to provide scholarships to SC students who attend Auburn University. The cost for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees. Applicant must submit a completed Application for Special License Plate (MV-95) along with required fees. This plate is available in field offices and through the mail.
Boykin Spaniel Foundation
The Boykin Spaniel Foundation license plate is available to the general public and has no special requirements. The fee is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. A portion of the fees collected for the plate will fund genetic research and specialty health clinics for Boykin Spaniels.
Choose Life S.C.
The Choose Life S.C. plate is available to all SC residents. Fees from the sale of the plate will be distributed to SC Citizens for Life/AKA Choose Life S.C. to support pregnancy care centers. The fee for the plate is $35.00 every 2 years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Delta Sigma Theta Plate
A portion of the fees collected for the Delta Sigma Theta plate will be used for academic scholarships. To apply for the plate, you must present a current organizational membership card or a certificate of membership. The fee for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Earth Echo International
The Earth Echo International license plate fee is $60.00 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. The plate is available to the general public and has no special requirements. A portion of the fees collected will be used to collect, analyze and archive scientific data regarding the dolphin population in South Carolina waters.
Emergency Medical Services
The fee for the Emergency Medical Services license plate is $30.00 plus the registration fee. A portion of the fees collected for this plate will be used to improve emergency medical services throughout South Carolina.
Fraternal Order of Police
This plate is available to all active members of the Fraternal Order of Police. The fee is $30.00 plus the regular registration fee.
Friends of Hunting Island State Park
The fee for the Friends of Hunting Island State Park plate is $50.00 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. A portion of the fees collected will go toward the Friends of Hunting Island State Park, Inc. for use on projects benefiting the park.
Gold Star Family
The Gold Star Family plate is available to immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling or child) of fallen service personnel as certified by the Affidavit of Relationship on the application form. To apply for the plate you must present one of the following documents: DD-2064 D.O.D. Certificate of Death (Overseas) or a DD-1300 D.O.D. Report of Casualty. Each qualifying family member may receive, for vehicles registered in their name, a maximum of two plates. There is no fee for this plate.
Greenville Children's Hospital
The Children's Hospital of Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center license plate is available to all SC residents. The fee is $30.00 in addition to the regular registration fee. A portion of the fees collected will be distributed to the Greenville Hospital System to purchase equipment for the Children's Hospital.
Heritage Classic Foundation
The Heritage Classic Foundation Plate is available for private passenger vehicles. A portion of the fees collected for the plate go to the Heritage Classic Foundation. The fee is $75.00 every two years in addition to the regular biennial vehicle license fee of $24.00
Kappa Alpha Psi
A portion of the fees collected for the Kappa Alpha Psi plate will be used for academic scholarships. To apply for the plate, you must present a current organizational membership card or a certificate of membership. The fee for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Kiwanis International Foundation
The Kiwanis International Foundation plate is available to all SC residents. Proceeds from the sale of this plate will be distributed to the Carolinas District Kiwanis Foundation. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Lions Club International License Plate
To apply for the Lions Club International plate, you must present a current organizational membership card or a letter on organizational letterhead that states you are a current and active member of the organization. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in additional to the regular registration fee.
MUSC Children's Hospital Plate
The fee for the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital license plate is $50.00 plus the registration fee. Proceeds from the sale of this plate will be used to provide unit equipment and to support activities for families during their stay at the hospital.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity License Plate
A portion of the fees collected for the Omega Psi Phi plate will be used for academic scholarships. To apply for the plate, you must present a current organizational membership card, a certificate of membership, or a letter on organizational letterhead that states you are a current member. The fee for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Our Farms Our Futures
The Our Farms Our Futures license plate is available to all SC residents. The fee for the license plate is $70.00 in addition to the regular license plate fee. A portion of the fees collected will be distributed to the SC AG in the Classroom Fund to support farm families and promote SC agriculture.
Parrothead
The Parrothead plate is available to all SC residents. Proceeds from the plate will be used to support the Palmetto Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and the Upstate SC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. The cost for the plate is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees. Applicants must submit a completed Application for Special License Plate (MV-95) along with required fees. This plate is available in the field offices and through mail.
Phi Beta Sigma License Plate
A portion of the fees collected for the Phi Beta Sigma plate will be used for academic scholarships. To apply for the plate, you must present an organizational membership card, a certificate of membership, or a letter on organizational letterhead that states you are a current member. The fee for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
Prince Hall Masons
The Prince Hall Masons license plate fee is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. To obtain a Prince Hall Masons plate, customers must be present a current dues card or a letter on lodge letterhead verifying that they are a Master Mason in good standing. A portion of the fees collected will be used for educational, charitable and benevolent events sponsored by the Prince Hall Grand Lodge.
SC Ancient Free and Accepted Masons
To apply for a SC Ancient Free and Accepted Masons plate, you must present a current dues card from a Masonic Lodge or a letter from a Masonic Lodge Secretary authorizing an honorary member or any person duly authorized by that officer to purchase a plate. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee.
SC Aviation Association - Hall of Fame
The SC Aviation Hall of Fame plate is available to SC residents who have been inducted into the SC Aviation Hall of Fame. Applicants must present a letter from the SC Aviation Association's Director indicating induction into the Hall of Fame and qualifying applicant to purchase plate along with a completed Application for Special License Plate (MV-95). Click here to download this form. The cost for the plate is the regular registration fee. This plate is available by mail only.
SC Cattlemen's Association
The SC Cattlemen's Association plate is available to all SC residents. Proceeds from the plate will be used for scholarships and research. The cost for the plate is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees. Applicants must submit a completed Application for Special License Plate (MV-95) along with required fees. This plate is available in the field offices and through the mail.
Secular Humanists of the Low Country Plate
Although Secular Humanist of the Low Country is a membership based organization the “In Reason We Trust” plate is available to all SC residents. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in additional to the regular registration fee. As a non-profit organization, the Secular Humanists of the Low Country do not receive any portion of the funds generated from the license plate sales.
Share The Road Palmetto Cycling
A portion of the fees collected for this plate go to the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, Inc. or another non-profit organization designated by the Palmetto Cycling Coalition for the promotion of bicycling safety and education programs. Although the Palmetto Cycling Coalition is a membership-based organization, the plates are available to all South Carolina residents. The cost for the plate is $30.00 in addition to the regular registration fees.
Shriners
You must present a statement from your Shriners group, dues card or any other official document verifying you are a Shriner. The fee for the plate is $30.00 plus the registration fee.
Sons of Confederate Veterans Plate
This license plate is only available to certified members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The fee is $30 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee.
South Carolina Chiropractic Association
To apply for a SC Chiropractic Association plate, you must present a membership letter on organizational letterhead that states you are a member of the organization. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in additional to the regular registration fee.
US Naval Academy
To be eligible for the US Naval Academy (USNA)license plate, you must be a graduate of USNA. To apply, you must present your DD214 and your USNA diploma or a letter from the USNA Alumni Association indicating that you are a graduate. The license plate fee is $30.00 in addition to the regular registration fee. A portion of the fees collected will be distributed to the US Naval Academy Alumni Association.
Veteran License Plate
The Veteran license plate is available to SC residents who have served in the United States Armed Forces active or reserved components. To apply for the plate, you must present your DD-214, indicating that you were honorably discharged, or Retired Military ID card, along with a completed Application for Military License Plate (MV-37). This plate is available for both passenger vehicles and motorcycles. Only two plates may be issued to vehicles registered in the name of the veteran. The cost for this plate is the regular registration fee. No additional fees are required.
West Point License Plate
To apply for the West Point plate, you must present a current organizational membership card or a letter on organizational letterhead that states you are a current member. The fee for the plate is $30.00 every two years in addition to the regular registration fee. As a non-profit organization, West Point does not receive any portion of the funds generated from the license plate sales.
Wildlife Deer Plate
The Wildlife Deer plate is available to all South Carolina residents. A portion of the fees collected for this plate is distributed to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Game Fund. The fee for this plate is $30.00 plus the regular registration fee.
Wildlife Painted Bunting Plate
The Wildlife Painted Bunting plate is available to all South Carolina residents. A portion of the fees collected for this plate is distributed to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Game Fund. The fee for this plate is $30.00 plus the regular registration fee.
Zeta Phi Beta
The Zeta Phi Beta license plate is available to all South Carolina Residents who are members of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Applicants must present a membership card or a letter from the state director to be eligible. The fee for the plate is $70.00 every two years in addition to the regular motor vehicle registration fee. A portion of the fees collected will be used by Zeta Phi Beta for academic scholarships.
